Easter

We started out our Easter festivities with dying eggs. This is something I am not fond of because of the possibility of my floors, walls, ect. getting covered with dye. Not to mention i have 3 pairs of hands reaching everywhere while knocking cups of dye over. Once that started I quickly put rules in place (only one kid dying at a time) and the chaos got less. I tend to be very "on edge" and I hate that about myself. So do my kiddos. Next year their dad is in charge of this!!

Easter morning the boys woke up to their baskets. We had explained to them weeks ago that they wouldn't have elaborate baskets this year because we wanted the focus to be on Christ and what he did for us- not how much chocolate they got!

Max had a fever that day and wasn't feeling well- can't you tell! He and I weren't able to go to church. Sam got one later that day and we have all been sick since then with fever's, throwing up, ect.
John finally finished working on his El Camino, so he took the boys to church in that. So much fun! They really like doing "burn outs".

Uncle Matt telling John where the good eggs were hid!
This boy is so tall. He had to jump to get this one!

Everytime I see Jackson I just want to squish him!! Look at those amazing eyes
Let me just tell you about Parker- he has got quite the cute personality these days!! He was cracking me up that whole day.
His dad was not too happy about this bow on his head!

Alyssa is such a beautiful little girl!
Look at all these kids! Doesn't little John kind of stick out!! Poor kid- he is so much older than every one else.

Karen and Johnny got the kids these ponchos from Mexico while they were there doing a mission with their church. I think they are too cute!

Another Easter has come and gone but this year it has ment so much more to me than years previous. Probably because of the bible study I am involved in. We are actually studying Christ's death at the moment. I am so grateful that Jesus Christ came to this earth to save me (and you) and that I will walk in His presence one day. Let us not pause only on this particular day to remember this, but focus on the fact that He who had no sin, became sin for you and I and hung on the cross so that we may approach God with the full assurance that if we ask our sins will be wiped away and our hearts will be made completely clean. That is such an amazing promise that I want to remember and praise Him for everyday!

DInner with Mema and Papa D

My mom and dad took us out to dinner the other night over to Chipolte (yummy), then we walked over to the candy store where the boys were able to pick out a treat. This candy store is awesome. It had a mini movie theater in it that is always playing willie wonka and the chocolate factory and every kind of candy possible. Sam and Max found their treat rather quickly while Mikey took FOREVER!! I had to give him a two minute warning several times. Once they all decided we walked over the the fountains and enjoyed the nice evening while the boys played and ate their treat. We love hanging out with my parents- and so do the boys!!

Do they get any cuter than this???

Come to think of it, I do know two other little boys who are just as cute!!

Another season is upon us...

Of baseball that is. And we are busier than ever. Apparently they take baseball very seriously out here in Sanger. John is doing awesome- he has an amazing arm. He can really throw the ball far, fast and accurately (most of the time). He is playing 3rd base and his team name is the Pirates. So far they have won all of their games!! And he is just soooo cute in those pants!

getting ready to run home!

Mema and Papa D came out to watch the game!

I had to include a picture of his cute little butt!!

Here's a funny story: we were at john's game the other night and we found a big, fat, juicy worm slithering in the dirt. The little boys were facinated by this and began to play with it. Little did I know, Sam brought it into the car on the way home. He was in the back seat giggling to himself and when I asked him what was so funny, he told me that he had just bit the worm in half!! Uggh, so gross. When we got home the poor worm was no longer nice and plump, but rather was in two pieces and dried looking. Sam thought nothing of this.
